How it all began…

Candid Coaching started as my dream in 2006 to help individuals develop realistic action plans to obtain significant growth, interact more positively with others, reach their dreams, and unlock their leadership potential. Everyone has the potential to be a great leader - at home, on the job, in church, in the community, or wherever you are called to lead.

I designed Candid Coaching to help individuals and organizations, through educationally proven guided discovery techniques, identify and put to use every day the leadership potential in each of us.

The Joy and great satisfaction I derived from coaching leadership - working with and teaching others, helping them reach their potential in contributing to their family, church, organization, and community - motivates me daily to help others grow.

The CANDID concept is deeply rooted in my belief that through Him anything is possible with a Can Do, Will Do Attitude (Phil 4:13). All we need do is ask for help, seek solutions, and knock on the right doors.

The mission in 2005-06 was to teach, coach, and train Military Operational Tactics, Logistics Techniques, Administrative Procedures, and Army Leadership.

Hi, I’m Coach Huff

Over the last 33+ years as an Army Officer, Senior Government Civilian Executive, Private School Administrator & Educator, Church Group Leader, Husband, and Father I have held the belief that learning is a lifelong process. Why? It has the power to connect communities, be a catalyst for individuals or organizations, and transform where and how we live.

My passion for helping others reach their potential and achieve their life purpose led me to join the John Maxwell Team in 2020. Before becoming a Partner with the John C. Maxwell Team, I held leadership and staff positions at the Army General Officer level and government Civilian Executive level, a volunteer in regional non-profit organizations, and a Bible Leadership Study group leader in my church. My thirty-three-plus year background and experience in Government and Military General Officer level staff, business development, and organizational change agent complements my coaching style and allows me to be very versatile and resourceful in serving a client's tailored and specific needs.
